Residential Abortive Transaction Insurance (RATI)

 

RATI is a specifically designed insurance policy that will refund a clients residential conveyancing costs up to the policy limit, in the event of an abortive transaction, (subject to conditions of the policy).  

 

The client is the policy holder and, as such, it is their costs that are recovered and would include - Legal/Solicitors Fees, Certain Disbursements, Mortgage Arrangement Fees, Valuation Fees (on behalf of the Lender) and Home Buyers Survey Fees.  

 

The policy has an indemnity limit of £1,500 and is available in two forms - buyer and/or seller.  From the date of purchase of the policy, there is a 365 day indemnity period and it is underwritten by DAS - Europe's leading legal expenses insurer.
